Dr. Biafora received his M.D. degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/ The Chicago Medical School. He did his residency at the University of Illinois at the Chicago College of Medicine, in the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity/Microvascular Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University/The Philadelphia Hand Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Biafora is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Biafora has published several articles including topics related to sensory communication of nerves in the hand, elbow dislocation, and management of tendonopathies in the hand and wrist. His practice is limited to surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Dr. Biafora is a life long resident of Illinois. He resides locally with his family.
